VR installations as part of the project "Aquarium Pula. On the Mission to Protect the Marine Treasure and Historical Legacy"

From today, a new VR virtual reality experience is available to visitors at the Pula Aquarium, which allows them to “dive” into the world of coral reefs. Through the virtual experience, visitors will be able to learn more about the importance of coral reefs, their role in marine ecosystems and the need for their preservation. The installation was realized as part of the project “Aquarium Pula - On the Mission to Protect the Marine Treasure and Historical Legacy”, financed with the support of the “FU-TOURISM Acceleration Programme” (European Union funds, SMP-COSME). The project began in April 2025, during which the Noble Sanctuary exhibition was also renovated. The video of the virtual “dive” was developed in collaboration with Canon Croatia and is part of their multimedia exhibition “Canon World Unseen”. The exhibition is also set up at the Pula Aquarium, alongside the permanent exhibition “Tropical Coral Reef”, and opened at the end of May this year. With this new interactive content, the Pula Aquarium offers its visitors a unique experience that combines technology, education and the preservation of marine biodiversity.
