Aquarium Pula is a private company founded in 2000, which today employs over 30 staff members. It is located in 130-year-old Austro-Hungarian fortifications - Fort Verudela and Battery San Giovanni, where a unique blend of natural and cultural heritage has stood out for more than 20 years. It is recognized as an educational, scientific and entertainment centre included among the very top of tourist attractions in the city of Pula. Part of the income is also intended to maintain the Verudela fort and protect endangered animals such as sea turtles, noble pen shells, sharks and rays.

It is located 4 km away from the center of Pula, on the Verudela peninsula.

Covering an area of more than 2,500 m2 of outdoor and indoor space, there is one of the most diverse displays of Mediterranean marine life in Europe, as well as numerous tropical marine and freshwater exhibitions.

For people with disabilities, a mobile ramp from the ground floor to the first floor is provided.

Recording and taking photos are allowed without the use of a flash. The use of recorded material is allowed only for personal use. Every other use of recorded material is not permitted without the approval of the Aquarium Pula. Thank you for your understanding!

Aquarium Pula has a free car park (for up to 20 vehicles); other parking spaces are available near the Aquarium (within 400 m; P1, P2, P3). During peak times (in case of bad weather) these parking spaces are quickly filled, in which case we recommend coming by city bus or taxi.

You can approach the aquarium by car, city buses (line 2a and 3a) and taxi.

The recommended duration of a visit is 2h 30 min.

*In case of bad weather during the summer season, a greater number of visitors is expected.

Inside the aquarium, there is a cafe bar "Ribnjak" which offers organic snacks and drinks. The cafe bar is open seasonally, from June to October.

Within the aquarium it is forbidden to take photographs using a flash, consume food and drinks inside the exhibition spaces, smoke (allowed only in marked places), visit in a bathing suit, touch animals, and bring pets.

Each visitor has access to a free audioguide available through the WhatsApp app.

It is possible to enter the aquarium with the baby stroller. Since the aquarium is located in an Austro-Hungarian fortress with narrow hallways, we recommend leaving strollers in the courtyard at the place provided.

Yes, in front of each toilet is a baby-changing area.

Sharks are fed during the season (1.7 - 1.9) on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at noon. The demonstration of marine invertebrates takes place in the courtyard of the aquarium, on Tuesdays and Thursdays at noon.

You can print the ticket or show it on your mobile device at the entrance.

It is allowed to leave and re-enter the premises of the aquarium on the same day with the ticket.

If it is a physical ticket, bought at the point of sale, it is necessary to keep the receipt with it.

It is possible to buy tickets in advance at any available time.

All orders and purchases of tickets via the website are binding and final, and cannot be canceled, changed, or charged for another type of ticket.

It is possible to request a refund for the purchased ticket before the visit date.
