Last night, a book presentation of "The Fortress of Pula – Defensive Structures of the Imperial (and) Royal Main Naval Port from 1823 to 1918" took place at the Aquarium Pula. The book is the work of our esteemed and dear friend, Dr. Erwin Anton Grestenberger.
Moments dedicated to the memory of Dr. Erwin, his achievements, biography, and shared experiences were shared by the Aquarium's director, Dr. Milena Mičić.
One of the editors and German-language translator, Zvonimir Freivogel, presented the book via Zoom, while Dr. Bruno Dobrić, president of the Viribus Unitis society and the main editor of the publication, spoke in detail about the process of publishing the book.
The event was not just a book promotion, but also a reminder of the rich historical legacy of our city. We proudly showed once again that Pula is not only a city with a glorious past, but also a community that tirelessly works to preserve and promote its historical values.
The presentation gathered numerous history and heritage enthusiasts, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for attending.
