We are delighted to have received today, January 27th, a large shipment of custom-made tanks, which will further enrich the exotic exhibition and enhance the quarantine department this season. The delivery includes three tanks for tropical coral reefs with a total volume of 65 m³, two smaller tanks for coral nurseries, and two circular tanks for jellyfish (“kreisels”).
For the first time, we will be maintaining corals and jellyfish in such large volumes. This step forward requires regular diving, robust and sophisticated water filtration systems, high-intensity lighting that evenly covers large surfaces, and the engagement of a larger team of specialized staff. All these technical and organizational requirements are accompanied by significantly higher financial investments.,
