“Walk with Butterflies” remains open, with a new photo point added!

We are delighted to announce that, due to great visitor interest and the continuing warm and sunny weather, our butterfly exhibit will remain open for a little longer!

In our exhibit, you can discover numerous tropical species, such as the “pale owl” (Caligo memnon), “common morpho” (Morpho helenor) and “red postman” (Heliconius sp.), as well as the “forest queen” (Charaxes wakefieldi), a beautiful and fascinating species found along the eastern coast of Africa, from South Africa northwards to Kenya. As its name suggests, the “forest queen” inhabits lowland and coastal forests, forest edges and hilltops, and feeds on fermented fruit and plant sap.

We have also recently added a new photo point for both children and adults, so we invite you to join us and enjoy a magical walk among the butterflies!
