In celebration of World Animal Day (October 4th), we released three rehabilitated loggerhead sea turtles—Čiko, Maya, and Alen—back into the sea. Alongside media, tourists, and local residents, children from the “Šiljo” kindergarten also attended the event. Before the turtles were returned to the sea, our colleague Karin Speich explained to attendees the reasons for their arrival at our Center and their recovery process.
