Rescue center

Aquarium Pula’s wild animal rescue centre serves as a temporary or permanent stay of strictly protected native animal species that are exhausted, sick, injured or poisoned in nature. The purpose of the rescue centre is to treat and rehabilitate native species with the end goal of returning them to the wild. 

The rescue centre also provides help to specimens which require a temporary habitat, such as confiscated or taken strictly protected reptiles and/or wild species confiscated in illegal cross-border trade (foreign and invasive species).
